WAAM3D is pleased to announce the installation and commissioning of two Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing systems at the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) facility in Disputanta,Virginia. This milestone marks a significant step in establishing WAAM3D’s technology footprint in the United States and supporting the growing adoption of WAAM solutions across the U.S. market.
The installation includes a RoboWAAM® system featuring WAAM3D’s patented G-MAX process, alongside an open WAAM system using the GMAW process, providing CCAM and its member organisations with access to advanced, industrial-scale additive manufacturing capabilities.
This deployment builds on the previously announced partnership between WAAM3D and CCAM, and marks the transition from partnership announcement to operational capability. Through this collaboration, WAAM3D and CCAM will work closely on the development, validation, and application of WAAM technologies, enabling U.S. industry partners to explore new manufacturing opportunities, reduce adoption risk, and accelerate the industrialisation of wire arc additive manufacturing.
